Job Description:

As a Direct Care Worker, you will:

• Work directly with highly behavioral residents, providing compassionate care and support.
• Implement behavior intervention plans designed by behavioral analysts and professionals.
• De-escalate challenging situations and effectively manage behavioral crises.
• Perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and ensure residents' comfort and well-being.
• Undergo de-escalation training, pass related tests, and maintain annual recertification.
• Be an essential worker, available for holidays, and capable of working weekends.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with highly behavioral individuals.
• CPR certification and experience in restraint techniques.
• Ability to handle aggressive behavior and de-escalate potentially violent situations.
• Comfort and experience with ADLs, including [list specific ADLs experienced].
• Availability for a 2-week orientation (8 AM - 5 PM) regardless of shift timing.

Situational Questions:

Candidates will be asked situational questions during the interview, such as:

• How have you handled an individual attempting physical violence?
• What techniques do you use to de-escalate such situations?
• Are you comfortable restraining individuals if necessary?
