Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager manages the human resource functions and programs for the Perry, GA geographic territory, aligning them with the organization's objectives to maximize employee performance and create an environment for employees to enhance their professional growth and career development.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads by example and models desired values, establishing high personal visibility, credibility, and trust within the company's business entities.
  • Serves as a core member of the senior management teams for the Perry, GA territory, counseling and advising all business lines within the territory on personnel issues and acting as a conduit.
  • Proactively identifies and communicates employee issues that impact the territory's ability to meet business objectives. Provides factual feedback to management, identifying business solutions from an HR perspective.
  • Assists managers in developing skills to manage human resources more effectively through modeling, coaching, instruction, and training.
  • Provides ongoing feedback to the District Human Resources Director to assist in policy creation.
  • Manages projects and/or participates as a project member on HR initiatives as assigned.
  • Assists in recruiting, hiring, coaching, and supporting multiple managers from various departments.
  • Ensures all direct reports operate under the organization's Code of Ethics.
  • Delivers HR products and services that are considered value-added, measurable, directly tied to the organization's business objectives, and aimed at increasing employee satisfaction. Leads the implementation of HR policies and procedures and monitors their effectiveness.
  • Serves as a resource for legal/EEO issues and ensures local compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Establishes relationships with community groups, agencies, and attends job fairs.
  • Ensures local management teams are trained on recruiting procedures and places appropriate attention on employee retention issues. Works with management to ensure timely performance reviews and identifies career and training opportunities.
  • Implements national training initiatives, basic HR management, and leadership training programs.
  • Supports and champions organizational change initiatives and quickly adapts to changing work demands.
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers, building strong relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, with five years of overall HR experience.
  • Three years of experience at the current HR level and one level below.
  • Proven track record of progressive human resource experience at a manager level.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR)/Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in relationship building with internal and external customers.
