Hip Kids Pediatrics is a busy private pediatric medical practice looking for an experienced, mature medical receptionist with excellent customer service skills, a positive self-starter attitude, and the ability to multitask.

Job duties include:

Greeting patients

Answering phones and retrieving messages in a timely manner

Scheduling appointments

Making appointment reminder calls

Rooming patients and cleaning

Balancing daily collections

Maintaining computer based logs using Excel, Word, Email and Scanning

MUST be comfortable collecting copays, deductibles, and balances both in person and over the phone

Working knowledge of insurances plans and medical terminology is a MUST

Verifying insurance daily and taking direction from superiors on how to complete tasks

Maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in accordance with federal guidelines

Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Any and all other tasks required throughout the day to maintain office flow/function.

Must be able to work without supervision and take initiative to complete tasks that need to be done.

Competitive Salary depending on experience

Education:

High school diploma minimum, Medical Assistant or related certificates welcomed

Experience:

At least 1-2 years in pediatrics or family medicine preferred

At least 3 years front office receptionist work experience requested

EMR/EHR software experience with Office Practicum a plus

Background check and drug screening will be performed

Routine Vaccines including proof of current Influenza and Covid vaccines are requested

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $12.00 - $19.00/hour.
