HintonBurdick CPAs and Advisors, a leading regional certified public accounting firm, is seeking a Seasonal Senior Professional Staff Accountant responsible for reviewing tax returns. This is an hourly seasonal position that coincides with IRS tax deadlines (February - April, and August to October)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize tax software to review returns
- Research and consult on various tax matters
- Provide review notes and training to help educate junior staff and interns
- Provide timely, accurate, high-quality review work that meets or exceeds expectations
- Review tax returns for more complex individual, trust, partnership, and corporate clients
Requirements
- CPA license or working toward obtaining a CPA license
- 3 years of tax season experience
Season
- February - April & August - October
- 50 hours during weeks leading up to deadlines
Preferences
- Experience in CCH Axcess a plus
- Previous public accounting experience a plus
- History of developing and mentoring staff through review process
- Efficent and accuracy minded.
