What does a Tax Manager do at Swire Coca-Cola?The Indirect Tax Manager is a valuable contributor to Swire Coca-Cola and the Finance team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Tax, this role supports and enables success against the company’s goals through strategically managing risk and ensuring compliance. We are seeking a strong business partner and consultant to the business, in addition to leading and developing a team.Responsibilities:Review and prepare sales tax returns for various states and locations while ensuring compliance with state and local statutesReview invoices to determine the appropriate use tax while ensuring compliance with state and local statuesManage relationship with external finance service partner related to Exemption Certificates, Unclaimed Property, and Business LicensureResearch state statutes and attend trainings to stay current with changesManage team of Indirect tax accountants prioritizing performance and individual developmentAct as delegate for Sr. Tax leader representing team in cross-functional initiativesWork effectively with various Tax and Finance leaders cross-functionally on projects and initiativesFoster a culture of collaboration and business partnership across all business functionsActively participate in business and technology initiatives and asses potential tax impactsDemonstrated ability to positively influence others in Finance and cross-functionally Act and manage sensitive information in a confidential and discrete manner.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance requiredMaster's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferredCPA preferred8 years of direct experience in preparing or auditing sales and use tax required2 years directly leading a team in Tax or FinanceDemonstrated experience in preparing sales and use tax returnsStrong skills in researching state and local statutesStrong preference toward direct software experience with Vertex, Avalara, Alteryx, and SAPTravel up to 10% #LI-IB1
