We are seeking a Hotel Sales, Banquet & Meeting Coordinator candidates for our Hampton Inn & Suites and a Hilton Garden Inn Hotel located in the Jacksonville/ Orange Park, FL. The Hampton Inn & Suites hotel opened in January 2019, and features 121 well-appointed guest rooms, a complimentary breakfast, 4,000 square feet of banquet space, plus a business center, pool, fitness center and many other amenities. The Hilton Garden Inn was extensively renovated in 2020, and features 100 guestrooms, the Great American Grill restaurant serving breakfast, dinner and bar, a 1,200 square foot meeting facility, plus a business center, pool, fitness center and many other amenities. These properties are led by a very talented and friendly Management Team that focuses on superior levels of guest satisfaction and overall excellence in every aspect of hotel operation.

As a Banquet & Meeting Sales Coordinator you will be an essential member of the sales team by: calling on key contacts, telemarketing, completing site tours, contracts, booking rooms, making contacts and re-booking repeat business . To ensure each guest receives the Greatest Customer Experience by effectively communicating guest’s and Team Member’s needs to appropriate departments.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain banquet and meeting rooms
  • Coordinate guest requests with operational personnel.
  • Promote positive morale and friendly attitudes.
  • Complete administrative duties in a timely manner: function sheets, changes in guest requests i.e. guarantees, set ups, contracts, etc.
  • Ensure guests are provided with the highest quality product and service.
  • Maintain Hilton brand training and certifications.
  • Assist with other areas as assigned by the Director of Sales.

Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.
For this position specifically:

  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and/or carry 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach.
  • Must be able to see and hear.
  • Must be able to speak and read English, the ability to communicate in another language may be helpful.
  • Must display professionalism, honesty and trustworthiness at all times.

Requirements:

  • One year of similar experience
  • Two to three full years of full employment in hotel or service industry experience
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Must have experiential knowledge for management of people, complex problems and efficient sales activities, advanced knowledge of sales/hospitality principles and practices.
  • Have a working knowledge of all Hilton, or equivalent, hotel systems, reports, meeting/ banquet room capabilities and forms used in a hotel sales office
  • Ability to make decisions based on established policies and procedures.
  • Ability to investigate and analyze current activities or information in the sales/marketing field and make logical conclusions and recommendations.
  • Must possess highly developed communication skills to frequently negotiate, convince, sell and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guests and corporate clients.
