Position: Museum Assistant Intern
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Reports To: Tickets & Events Manager
Location: Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory
Date: May 13th – August 9th

Position Summary: 

Serve as an ambassador by offering dynamic, enthusiastic, professional experiences for guests in all areas of the museum and factory. Staff ticket center, batting cage, and Hold a Piece of History exhibit. Responsible for assisting with the upkeep and maintenance on equipment in batting cage and/or ticket booth. Occasionally assist in programming planning. Serve as an ambassador for Hillerich & Bradsby Co. and Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. This is a paid internship scheduled five days (40 hours) per week, reporting to the Tickets & Events Manager. Weekend and evening availability will be required.

 Essential Functions: 

1. Responsible for staffing ticket booth, batting cage and Hold a Piece of History.

2. Be proficient in opening and closing duties in ticket booth and batting cage.

3. Adhere to the policies of handling cash and deposits at all times. 

4. Assist with evening event set-up and other guest services as needed. 

5. Provide top-notch interaction with all guests, in all areas of the museum, at all times.

6. Be the eyes and ears on the floor including completing a checklist of exhibit maintenance and reporting any needed updates, repairs, or malfunctions.

  1. Track personal experiences via a daily journal.
  2. Complete training manual streamline project
  3. Compile experiences and observations into a final report.

Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned

6. Knowledge of and passion for baseball preferred
