Position: Retail Merchandise Associate Part-Time 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: GM of Merchandise

Salary: $15/hour

Position Summary:

Support role to General Manager of Merchandise at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory Retail Department. This position assists with daily merchandise flow from warehouse to retail sales floor in a timely, accurate, and visually appealing manner. Must be punctual, required to arrive by 7am, and available to work weekends. . Maintain and ensure optimal stock levels in store, as well as warehouse

Essential Functions

1. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all products received, such as

• Picking up incoming shipments daily (often 2-3 times/day)
• Prepping product for sales floor (tag/label/hang/back stock)
• Picking up core products from Factory (PER’s, Mini’s, Culls, Playable Bats) and stocking in store daily. Then storing excess stock in an organized and accessible manner.

2. Providing timely and accurate assistance in the daily restock of all products in the Museum Store and the Bat Shop. 

3. Communicates product related issues such as low or out of stock, damages, over or short receiving.

4. Provides fulfillment support of product (PER, phone orders, etc.) whether internal or external.

5. Leverages Counterpoint point of sale system to maintain a consistent flow of product to retail sales floor (printing sales reports).

6. Conduct physical inventories as scheduled, needed or on request of the Product Manager.

7. Secures merchandise and company assets by implementing security systems and measures.

8. Maintains requirements, company policies and marketing direction. 

9. Team player within the retail department and companywide. 

10. Must be able to arrive at 7am on weekdays, 8am on weekends.

Requirements

Requirements: 

1. Minimum two years related retail experience, preferred retail warehousing or inventory management.

1. Exceptional and measurable customer focus and intuitiveness when problem solving with regards to customer satisfaction.
2. Practicable application and daily use of Retail POS system and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Access).
3. Goal-oriented and results-proven.
4. Able to lift 50lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods of time.
