Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting with the planning and implementation of engaging activities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in our community. Responsibilities: - Assist in planning and organizing a variety of recreational activities for residents, including games, crafts, outings, and social events - Engage residents in meaningful conversations and provide companionship - Support residents in participating in activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being - Help residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed - Collaborate with the activity director and other staff members to create a stimulating and enjoyable environment - Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress - Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during activities Requirements: - Previous experience in social work, dementia care, or recreational therapy is preferred - Knowledge of memory care and assisted living principles is a plus - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage schedules and prioritize tasks effectively - Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with seniors - Must be able to pass a background check At our facility, we offer competitive pay rates, ongoing training opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
