Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials needed for each patient
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and trimming custom trays
- Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients and educate them on proper dental care techniques
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical documentation and updating medical records
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental restorations
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures
- Take and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after treatment
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Valid certification or license as a Dental Assistant in the state of [Location]
- Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a dental office or clinic setting
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures, techniques, and terminology
- Proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures including general dentistry, pediatrics, orthodontics, and oral surgery
