**Description**
**Essential Functions:**
Cook food according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and numbers of portions to be served. Follow
Clean and inspect food service equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas in order to ensure safety, cleanliness, and fiscal responsibility.
Direct activities of one or more team members who assist in preparing and serving meals.
Bake breads, rolls, and other pastries.
Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, and poultry.
Compile and maintain records of food use and expenditures.
Requisition food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances, based on estimates of future needs.
Comply with all food service requirements and regulations. Comply with Joint Commission standards for Dietary. Comply with Texas Dietary Association Standards. Comply with Healthcare Information and Privacy Act.
**Job Requirements:**
Education: High School Graduate.
Experience: 2 years in the food service industry.
Knowledge/Skills: Recipes execution, basic computer skills, Knife skills
Licenses/Certifications: Gillespie Country Food Handlers Certifications
