Performs a variety of operational and instructional duties related to the following Art and Education Programs: Youth and Adult Pottery.
Supervision Received: Works under the direction of the Arts Enrichment Coordinator.
Supervision Exercised: None.
Examples of Duties: The following examples of duties are intended to be illustrative only and not to be construed as all inclusive.
Physical and Environmental Standards: Must be able to repeatedly sit, walk, stand, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, reach and lift, push, and pull. Must be able to type, write, use a calculator, use a computer, and answer the telephone. Must possess the ability to use the telephone/cellphone to talk and hear. The ability to communicate face-to-face is needed. Vision requirements include near and far acuity. Must be able to properly lift/move 20 pounds unassisted and 40 pounds with help. Must be able to travel between all (4) facilities and/or offsite as needed.
Background in art programming for youth and adults. Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written formats with staff and members. Ability to understand and interpret rules and regulations which govern the HRCA membership. Ability to collect, analyze and present data in report format. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, peers and HRCA membership. Must possess or be able to obtain current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of employment. Must pass a drug test and background investigation.
Education: Associates degree in Art or other related area from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
Experience: Two years in youth and adult clay arts programming or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary: $18.71 - $27.00 per hour
