Job Announcement
Highlander Research & Education Center seeks a Development Manager to support the operations of the Development Department. This new role will include supporting development and retention strategies, managing the team’s data and lists, and coordinating fundraising events.
While we know that not every candidate will have every qualification, you are the ideal person if:
  • You are a fundraising practitioner with 3 years of nonprofit experience and an organized data and operations manager.
  • You thrive when “keeping the trains running on time” and helping your team reach its goals.
  • You are a compelling writer and skilled at ensuring your colleagues are prepared when they speak with external partners.
  • You are meticulously organized and know how to identify new tools to support smooth operations.
  • Managing large amounts of relational information in a database excites you.
  • You like to create new systems, building on and sometimes overhauling existing ones.
  • You can see potential and aren’t daunted by a challenge.
  • Passion for advancing racial, gender, economic, and environmental justice is core to who you are.
The Development Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's fundraising efforts. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day development activities, coordinating fundraising events, maintaining donor databases, and assisting with donor communication and outreach.
