Looking to add a detail-oriented leader to focus on the guest experience at High Hampton. The Assistant Lodging Manager will work in conjunction with the Lodging Manager and Director to help oversee the Front Desk, Concierge, Guest Services, and Night Audit ensuring the highest level of service and hospitality for our guests.

Must have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists the Lodging Manager with overseeing the daily operations and responsibilities of the Front Desk, Concierge, Guest Services and Night Audit.
• Ensures that our Teams provide World Class Hospitality for every guest throughout their stay
• Develops the Lodging Supervisors in the following duties:
  • Team member interactions with guests, increase positive feedback and reduction of negative comments
  • Maintaining the budget while utilizing labor tracking and operational expense tools
  • Maintaining and drive the RPOR
  • Fostering positive communication with other departments
  • Developing team member knowledge through training, performance reviews, and development plans
• Advises Lodging Supervisors in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
• Implements a “hands on” approach to effectively manage the quality of daily operations
• Ensures compliance with established company policies & procedures
• Demonstrates leadership & professional image to Team Members, Vendors & Guests
• Reviews all arrival and departure information with Front Desk to cross-examine each guest
• Observes and manages the Front Desk, Concierge, Guest Services and Night Audit teams to follow through on daily tasks
• Meets and speaks with guests making certain they are enjoying their stay
• Handles guest requests and resolves any problems that may arise
• Communicates with each department on all issues that may arise

Must comply with all company policies and procedures.

To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.

Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Front of house lodging team

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1-2 years Hospitality experience or 1-2 years Front Desk experience preferred

College Degree preferred

Hospitality experience required

Computer skills in MS Windows & Excel and a PMS (Opera preferred)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers and team members

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Understanding of basic math and general accounting

REASONING ABILITY

Be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Be able to sit or be on your feet for a long period of time

Be able to lift up to 50lbs

Be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart

WORK ENVIRONMENT

General office / front desk reception area

Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
