Basic Function:

The Senior Vice President, Treasury Management ("SVP") leads all aspects of the Bank's Treasury Management services. The SVP shall ensure that the Bank provides industry-leading sales and service to internal and external customers. The SVP is responsible for commercial treasury management business development (in all markets, but primarily serving Springfield and surrounding areas) and serves as a primary, or secondary, point of contact for the Bank's commercial deposit customers. The SVP shall ensure profitable and sustained growth of the commercial client base through new sales, retention of existing clients, review and development of products and services and the related documentation, appropriate pricing of products and services, and effective use and implementation of strategic and tactical planning.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Effectively manage the Treasury Management operation and all related direct reports.
  • Design, implement and maintain all applicable Treasury Management products, including but not limited to merchant services and business deposit products to fully meet the needs of existing and potential customers.
  • Develop and execute a marketing strategy for all Treasury Management services, and actively monitor its success.
  • Oversee and regularly monitor the pricing of all Treasury Management services to ensure competitiveness in all markets and overall profitability of the portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with a focus on developing new business relationships to increase revenue and foster deposit growth.
  • Develop and present sales proposals to customers and prospects. This includes formal written and oral presentations in response to requests for proposals as well as in the regular course of business.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Bank and customers regarding issue resolution, which are complex in nature relating to products and services.
  • Develop and manage various sales support functions including systems, processes, tactics, and project management.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Bank's products and services, as well as knowledge of the industry. Keep abreast of current developments and market trends, to further identify and service customers' needs and additional product offerings.
  • Ensure that all departmental activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including ensuring that all Treasury Management staff complete required compliance and other appropriate training.
  • Track all sales-related activities required by management.
  • Participate in community involvement activities to enhance the Bank's visibility, image, and reputation.
  • Travel occasionally to participate in special assignments, training and/or travel between office locations.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of item processing and funds collection processes, as well as various deposit, treasury management, and related services.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of treasury management policies, including ACH & RDC underwriting, customer overdrafts, wire transfers, and any other related or relevant policies and procedures.
  • Must be personable and energetic, with a strong attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or related fields, or commensurate Treasury Management experience (not less than five years) is required
  • 5 years of treasury management banking experience with a comprehensive understanding of treasury management products and services.
  • SVP is expected to attend continuing education courses on an ongoing basis to stay apprised of industry best practices and changes in regulations.

This is a full time, exempt position eligible for a competitive benefit package.

The successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and consumer credit check is required.
