Basic Functions :

The Mortgage Servicing Associate will process a variety of loan servicing transactions in a friendly, efficient, and accurate manner and in accordance with all Hickory Point Bank and Trust policies and procedures.

The Mortgage Servicing Associate will be responsible for various reports and preparing correspondence in a timely and accurate manner.

Communicate effectively with customers, servicing companies, and bank staff in person and over the phone.

Essential Duties :

• Responsible for monitoring and ensuring that homeowners' insurance coverage is in place and adequate for all mortgage secured loans, including escrowed and non-escrowed loans
• Perform a variety of system file maintenance
• Perform check back of file maintenance
• Handle customer inquiries in a professional, timely manner
• Assist with various special projects
• Perform additional duties assigned by management
• Provide back-up for other operational positions as directed by management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

The Mortgage Servicing Associate must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Attention to detail and deadlines is crucial, as is the ability to multi-task. The individual is expected to have a strong work ethic, outgoing and positive personality, and maintain the confidentiality standards of the Bank.

Strong communication skills and a high degree of professionalism are necessary in this position.

Training and Experience :

• High school diploma is required; Associate degree or higher preferred
• Loan operations experience, preferred
