The Maintenance Technician provides support for routine maintenance and repairs of equipment and machinery. Must keep the facility clean on a regular and scheduled basis in accordance with government regulations, the public health code, and generally accepted food industry sanitation standards. This role has the option to be full-time/part-time/flex (off-season work under 30 hours and during season 40 hours including weekends).

Requirements

• Support the production assembly area by performing routine maintenance and repairs on a conveyor system (approximately 500ft); Tape Machines (3M); HVAC systems 
• Support the production assembly area by performing routine housekeeping and cardboard baler responsibilities including recycling, repair, and cardboard exchange.
• Racking-general rack repair, rack building knowledge (storage warehouse racking)
• Lift truck maintenance-water battery cells and small repairs
• Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs. 
• Use standard warehouse equipment including but not limited to standup lift trucks 
• Perform general repairs including repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
• Perform routine maintenance on building systems. 
• Plumbing maintenance (leak repairs or major clog, etc.)
• Cleans and assists with the upkeep of the facilities.
• Housekeeping-painting, wall hanging, and floor scrubber operation.
• Must have experience repairing pneumatic conveyor lines, electric taper machines, shrink-wrap machines/ovens, and L-bar repair knowledge.
• Dock door and dock plate leveler repair and PM.
• Drive-in cooler door-track repair and general maintenance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience/Skill Set 

• Forklift (reach), RC an order picker (cherry picker) experience. Able to complete the HF forklift certification. Able to operate a scissor lift.
• Must successfully pass the HF lift truck certification course.
• Must be able to make sound judgments and perform tasks in an efficient manner.
• Must have integrity and show a high degree of respect for others.
• Must be able to work overtime including weekends when necessary.

 Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have 1-2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic computer aptitude-able to utilize Outlook email, basic Word, and Excel documents.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking. 
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, push, pull or crawl into awkward spaces. 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. 
• Must understand safety standards as it relates to OSHA requirements for maintenance 
• Ability to perform essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
