We are currently accepting applications for a Benefits Specialist in the district. If interested, please complete and submit an application.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum qualifications: two years of benefit experience, including enrollment and managing accounts (computer automated)
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret Missouri Statutes, State Board Regulations, School Board Policies, State Retirement rules, and COBRA Compliance Regulations.
  • High competency level with hands-on experience utilizing automated insurance programs.
  • Proficient grammar, spelling, reconciliation, analytical and telephone skills. Strong accounting skills and proven experience relating to the ability to maintain accurate records, files and reports.
  • Knowledge of the practice and types of benefits packages.
  • Knowledge of the legal requirements concerning insurance coverage.
  • Ability to fully utilize various benefits software.
  • Ability to work well with learning community, parents, teachers, students, administrators and staff with courtesy, tact, and good judgment.
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism while dealing with difficult and emotional people.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity handling information and documents.
  • Be of good character, neat in personal appearance, dependable, reliable, prompt, and flexible and have pleasing manners and personality.
  • High level of proficiency utilizing computer software with an emphasis on word processing, data base, and spreadsheets.
  • Requires more complex spreadsheet preparation and understanding and comprehension in the reconciliation process.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly, work independently, performing individual projects and routine matters with minimal direction or supervision.
  • Must have the ability to think clearly in stressful situations, work well under pressure.
$51,435 - $86,328 annual salary
