Herschend Family Entertainment is Hiring a Counter sales associate Near Timonium, MD

The Training & Organizational Development Manager is responsible for creating, implementing and managing all training programs and organizational development initiatives for Stone Mountain Park.

  • Develop, administer, and evaluate all OD initiatives such as plans for developmental candidates, succession planning, leadership goals, Great Place 6 programs, and employee care
  • Manage implementation and roll out of new LMS system
  • Responsible for the effective delivery of New Hire Orientation and Memory Making classes from creation to revising content to hiring and supervising the trainers
  • Assist with annual training compliance process -including PCI and Information Technology
  • Serve as culture champion to ensure that department plans support park and company culture plans and goals
  • Oversee mentoring and growth programs
  • Manage strategy to ensure strong retention and career progression
  • Assist with creating and implementing Stone Mountain’s annual People Plan
  • Conduct employee survey meetings and follow up on initiatives for improvement
  • Oversee coordination of Mystery Guest Program
  • Coordinate Moment of Truth and Grant-It Card Programs
  • Create and distribute monthly employee newsletter
  • Help create and review incentive programs that will drive NPS and overall park revenue
  • Help create, train and monitor upsell initiatives
  • Create, schedule and conduct supervisor development classes (Servant Leadership, HR for the Everyday Manager, Interviewing and Performance Management)
  • Plan, develop and conduct annual Leadercast and rehire Updates
  • Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs
  • Develop and organize training materials, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials
  • Help develop online training and online training management systems
  • Prepare and operate within department budget
  • All other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

These are carried out in accordance with applicable safety policies and laws. Responsibilities include :

  • Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate the Trainers, Video Techs, Training Coordinator, Recruiting Specialist, and Staffing Coordinator
  • Appraise performance, reward, and discipline employees
  • Address complaints and resolve problems

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience developing training classes and materials required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with management of personnel resources required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with administration and management required
  • Previous Organizational Development experience preferred
  • Must have and maintain a Drivers' License
