Heritage Oaks Hospital is Hiring a Nurse Manager Near Sacramento, CA

Responsibilities:

Heritage Oaks Hospital is a freestanding, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital dedicated to serving the greater Sacramento area. We provide treatment to teens, adults and seniors living with mental health challenges.

We are currently looking for someone to join our team as Nurse Manager. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Quality Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Nurse Manager will assist the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) with providing the leadership and strategic planning of the nursing department and nursing programs offered at Heritage Oaks Hospital. Will ensure that programs meet the needs of patients, the community and are in compliance with the facility’s performance goals and objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the management of systems for all clinical nursing services, promotion of a therapeutic environment for patients and staff, and the development then implementation of clinical treatment programs.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management is acceptable.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor’s Degree required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of two (2) years experience in clinical / management practice.

License:

  • California state licensure/credentials as a Registered Nurse is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, NAPHS, Title XXII, HCFA, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
  • BLS/CPR certification
