Heritage Community of Kalamazoo is Hiring a Painter Near Kalamazoo, MI
Position Summary:
This position pays $18-23 an hour depending on experience. The painter prepares surfaces and properly applies finish coatings of paint, clear finishes. Occasionally performs light carpentry work including installation of trim. Works the on-call rotation with maintenance team, helps with minor maintenance repairs as needed. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors or managers of Facility Services.
Major Responsibilities:
Prepping, patching and painting of walls and trim. Knowledge and ability to perform light carpentry work, including general skills such as installation of trim.
Required Licenses, Registration, Certifications:
High School Diploma.
Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:
Must have great customer satisfaction skills as well as good communication skills. Candidate must be dependable/flexible and able to meet deadlines established. Painting and occasional light carpentry/maintenance skills needed for this position.
Essential Physical Functions:
Considerable physical effort required, walking, climbing, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Candidate must be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs without reasonable accommodations.
Experience:
Must have at least 3 – 5 years of experience.
