COMPENSATION
Commensurate based on experience
SUMMARY: Seeking an Assistant Credit Manager to assist with various support and documentation for Credit functions, Customer accounts, Collections, and Account reconciliations. Reports to the Director of Financial Services
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for credit extension and collection and analysis of accounts receivable in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Responsible for continuous improvement and innovation in all credit functions. 
DUTIES:
• Perform credit checks, google searches, and verification of references for credit applications
• Research bidders using Google and other online resources and document results
• Respond to requests for extended payment plans directly with clients
• Enter interest and fees into the accounting system for extended credit terms
• Update invoice terms and enter checks on hold to customer’s accounts
• Set up future payments for financed invoices per agreements
• Resolve customer issues related to eligibility and issues on their accounts
• Maintain accurate records of customer account activity
• Maintain schedules and statements for custom-financed invoices
• Review past due accounts and communicate with customers to promote prompt payments
• Provide management reporting
• Assist as needed with auction events: credit/take payments/delivery/documentation/terms
• Assists credit manager as needed with requests.
• Additional duties as assigned from time to time by manager. 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance preferred; associate's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Experience working in an accounting department for a company with more than 500 employees and multiple business units is strongly preferred.
 
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Good to excellent Excel skills needed.
• Experience with Microsoft GP is highly preferred
• Must be able to multi-task and adjust to new situations quickly
• Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be extremely detail-oriented and have a positive attitude.
 
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: 
• Individual must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Individual must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, team focused environment with tight turnaround deadlines.
