What's the role?

The Tax Accountant will be primarily involved in the preparation of various forms of tax compliance as related to HERE U.S. and its subsidiaries. This position reports to the Senior Tax Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate seeking to develop overall corporate tax experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns; includes calculating federal book-to-tax adjustments, state specific income adjustments, and tracking of non-US earnings and profit amounts.
• Preparation of state and local franchise and property tax returns as well as annual licenses/reports/registrations.
• Management of outsourced sales and use tax filing process.
• Assist in preparation of tax provision calculations.
• Assistance in tax planning initiatives via various research projects.

Who are you?

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar background; CPA not required.
• Corporate taxation experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and tax software applications (Thomson Reuters/OneSource ideal).
• Experience with researching various tax issues using an on-line tax research library (e.g., Bloomberg Tax)
• Strong organizational and communication (both oral and written) skills.
• Willingness and enthusiasm for team-oriented work as well as continuous learning and personal growth within the organization.

This benefits-eligible position follows a hybrid working arrangement (2 days in our downtown Chicago office per week 3 remote).
