Hercules Custom Iron is a premier custom metal fabricator, fence and perimeter security company in the DC/VA/MD area. We excel in commercial and high security work at some of the most prestigious locations in the United States. Hercules is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for our Walkersville, Maryland location.
As an Assistant Project Manager in the ornamental fencing industry, you will play a key role in supporting the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. Working closely with the project management team, you will assist in coordinating project activities, managing resources, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
· Collaborate with management and estimating/sales team before and after jobs are sold
· For each new order, assume the lead role in creating a job folder to include a work order, executed contract estimate sheet, shop drawing, purchase orders and other required paperwork
· Work directly with in-house CAD department to generate necessary submittals and product information
· Work directly with Production Manager, fabricators, powder coaters and all HCI team members
· Manage all project types of custom fabricated ornamental metals
· Assist with billing all completed work
Experience and Skills
· Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or similar role
· Proficiency with MS Office
· Solid organizational skills
· Ability to multi-task and effectively communicate
· Excellent work ethic with the desire to work in a fast-paced environment
· Experience within fabrication and welding industry preferred
Requirements
· Associate’s degree preferred
· Ability to successfully pass a background check
· Positive and respectful attitude
· Ability to work independently and within a team

Starting Pay: $52,000
