Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a healthcare environment? We are currently seeking a dedicated Auditor to join our client's team within the DMDD, Bureau of Medical Review Call Center and Administrative Staff Support unit. As an Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of medical service prior approvals, inquiries, and administrative tasks.
- Answering telephone inquiries from healthcare providers, members, caregivers, and advocacy groups regarding the prior approval of medical services such as durable medical equipment, medical supplies, hearing aids, private duty nursing, and out-of-state inquiries.
- Escalating complex inquiries to appropriate staff when necessary.
- Guiding and educating providers and members on locating pertinent policy information.
- Assisting providers with troubleshooting prior approval systems.
- Performing data entry into Excel spreadsheets and other tracking tools.
- Monitoring incoming emails and/or faxes from a shared mailbox and forwarding them to the appropriate staff.
- Sending faxes through email-supported fax mailbox.
- Distributing fair hearing requests and decisions to appropriate staff.
- Processing change request forms according to defined procedures.
- Supporting claims processing when other duties are complete.
- Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Any other activities deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the unit.
Additional Skill Level, Experience, or Other Requirements:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Basic Excel functions.
- Proficient in the use of standard office technology, including fax machines, document scanners, and copiers.
- Ability to be flexible, innovative, and work effectively in a team environment.
