YOUR ROLE

  • Responsible for the overall performance, safety, quality and light maintenance of the production process. 
  • Requires the successful learning and mastery of the labeling, filling and case packing machines 
  • Oversee operation of software programs to include starting production and completing several functions; monitoring production and reacting accordingly to alarms during operation; and ending production 
  • Use Good Manufacturing Practices to maintain hygienic security on the line, within area and facility. 
  • Maintain proper inventory of items needed to keep machine(s) running 
  • Ensure all materials and needed resources are stocked and being used in the correct sequence 
  • Coordinate changeovers with team and maintenance resources to identify, troubleshoot and drive improvement projects on equipment 
  • Learn and assist maintenance resources with preventative maintenance process on equipment 
  • Assist in size changes on equipment 
  • Attend and complete required training on policies, systems and procedures 
  • Know quality standards and perform and document quality 
  • Perform quality inspections of various items including raw materials, soap and ultimately finished goods 
  • Perform routine maintenance procedures 
  • Perform required steps to complete size and product changeovers 
  • Perform proper procedure to safely clear jams in all equipment 
  • A successful Machine Operator will be a team player, look for ways to continuously improve self, surroundings and operations. Manage line performance and priorities related to multiple machines. This includes operation of the automatic descrambler, capper, rotary and heat transfer labeler, seal machine, cap hopper/sorter, automatic drop case packer, case sealer, glue systems, coding system, conveying systems and accessories. 

YOUR SKILLS

  • Ability to repetitively lift 50 lbs. or more. 
  • Ability to repetitively bend, stoop and crouch. 
  • Possess basic calculator skills. 
  • Possess good math and reading skills. 
  • Ability to multitask throughout the shift. 
  • Good at problem solving. 
  • Ability to stand for extended timeframes. 
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season. 
  • Possess a high attention level to promote a safe work environment. 
  • Possess a positive attitude. 
  • Ability to follow directions and a strong willingness to learn. 
  • Ability to operate a computer. 
  • Good verbal communication skills when using company radio. 
  • Applicants MUST be at least 18 yrs of age
  • Applicants MUST have HSD/GED or equivalent

The salary range for this role is $17 to $21. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
