Helpr is a care service platform that supports families in finding excellent full and part time primary and emergency (or backup) childcare providers, full and part time adult care providers/caregivers, and birth workers including doulas and Newborn Care Specialists.

We’re currently looking for a Part Time Care Companion in Port Charlotte.

A lovely woman in Port Charlotte is looking for a care companion to help her out with personal and household needs, transportation to appointments, running errands, etc. The client has an injured shoulder and is unable to complete certain tasks as she usually would. A typical day may include helping out with bathing, driving to appointments, running errands, helping with meals, doing laundry, just being an extra set of hands to help her with things she is unable to do due to her injury.

The client is looking for someone 2 days per week (Monday-Friday) for 4-8 hours each day (total of 8-16 hours per week). Someone with flexibility to coordinate a schedule that works around the client’s appointment needs will be ideal. She will typically be able to share her appointment schedule approximately 1-2 weeks in advance.

• Schedule: 2 days per week within the regular work week (Monday through Friday), 4-8 hours each day
• Start date: Immediately
• End date: Client needs care 3-6 months, possibly longer
• Rate: $15-20/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Companion care for one client
• Support with personal hygiene needs
• Transportation to appointments - family will reimburse gas/mileage
• Running errands
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry
• Meal prep

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years experience with in-home adult care
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• CPR certified or willing to become certified

Compensation: Position pays $15-20 per hour and the client is looking for 8-16 hours of care per week for at least 3-6 months, possibly longer
