Helios Commercial Service Partners is Hiring a Controls Technician Near Waller, TX

Controls Technicians diagnose/troubleshoot HVAC/R, Lighting, and Building Equipment Controls to provide building comfort, energy efficiency, and correct related problems. Complete Building Automation Controls installations, troubleshooting, and Repairs.

WHAT HELIOS NEEDS FROM YOU:

  • Troubleshoot HVAC/R controls
  • Present findings and options to supervisors, providing advice as needed/requested
  • Complete control repairs, improvements, or installations within a given timeframe
  • Clean equipment/work area
  • Complete all paperwork required by management
  • Perform equipment installations if needed. Perform maintenance work if needed
  • Installation of control systems per plans/shop drawings.Knowledge of following customer specs
  • Overtime as required. Some overnight work required. On call over weekends as required
  • This job requires travel in/out of state a week or more at a time
  • Work outside, in crawlspaces, and rooftops, hot and cold climates. Lifting and physical exertion required
  • Working daily with controls and low voltage
  • Work in customer occupied areas

WHAT SETS YOU APART:

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • HVAC experience as a Controls Technician, HVAC/R Installer, or HVAC/R Maintenance/Service Technician
  • We are open to new graduates from HVAC/R programs as well
  • Ability to braze/solder/weld is a plus
  • Ownership of standard technician tools
  • NATE certification preferred
  • EPA Certification preferred

Helios determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay range for this position is between $16-25/hr. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
