Description:
Client has a need for additional PLC Controls Technician's 1 and 2 to help support the integration and commissioning of new EV Battery Assembly Systems in the Automotive Manufacturing field on customer sites. The current need would be focused in Detroit, MI initially which be a 6 month to 1 year engagement then deploy to other similar customer sites upon completion.
• Familiar with automated assembly processes in the automotive manufacturing field.
• Allen Bradley Studio 5000 PLC Programming experience
o Understanding of industry programming practices and standards.
o Ability to independently commission, troubleshoot, and debug complex systems.
o Comfortable programming from scratch when needed or modifying existing logic without minimal rework.
o Able to integrate third party devices and systems in the program.
• Experience in commissioning automation/manufacturing cells with robotics
• Experience working within template software guidelines for Siemens HMI WINCC.
• Experience with Industrial networking (Ethernet such as EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus-TCP) and Fieldbus (such as Profibus, Modbus RTU/ASCII, DeviceNet, CANopen, Asi-5, IO-Link)
REQUIRED CAPABILITIES :
*Verified Automotive Assembly Work Experience
*Demonstrated Ability to troubleshoot, debug PLC existing code
*Any Robotics Experience is a huge plus
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS :
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 8 plus years of related field and/or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of Automotive Manufacturing experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in PLC and HMI programming and configuration along with troubleshooting and solving software/hardware issues in a manufacturing environment.
• Robot Programming and troubleshooting is a plus (Fanuc, Kuka, etc.)
• Experience working with Electric Vehicle Battery Assembly cells not required but a plus.
• Analytical ability and creativity to solve unusual and difficult problems
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with line workers, maintenance personnel, and all levels of management
• Strong work ethic with self-initiative
• Strong follow up to handle multiple tasks
• Understanding of manufacturing and tooling processes required
• Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office & Teams
• Flexibility to change quickly from one assignment to another as priorities change
