Heilind/DB Roberts/Mil-Aero is Hiring a Tradeshow & Events Specialist/Manager Near Wilmington, MA

Summary:

The Tradeshow & Events Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing business events such as tradeshows, sales meetings, local branch expos, golf events, and branch openings. The specialist will partner with the sales and executive leadership teams to develop programs and strategies to best present the Heilind, ICC, and DB Roberts business units, in the best light to customers, suppliers, and partners. The specialist will also plan and execute internal corporate events at the Wilmington facility, when needed.

Reporting to the Director, Global Marketing, this position will collaborate with business unit marketing managers to increase customer attraction and brand awareness at events.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning and execution of special events & conferences, including, but not limited to creating timelines, scheduling planning seasons, and delegating tasks.
  • Manage conference/trade show plans for all DAC Group business units and own execution of the plan with business unit contacts. This includes 8-10 national tradeshows and numerous local branch tradeshows.
  • Research industry best practices, current trends, competitors, and make recommendations for new opportunities.
  • Research opportunities for growth in tradeshows, such as lead generation opportunities.
  • Interact with show management to complete applications and process registrations.
  • Coordinate vendors and event logistics, at corporate headquarters and national meetings.
  • Provide show information to company attendees.
  • Order exhibit materials and arrange shipping to show locations.
  • Provide additional support functions to show execution as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for business units to participate in industry events to help build brand awareness, customer base or acquisition.
  • Develop strategies and manage the execution of candidate engagement events to support recruiting efforts and candidate engagement.
  • Organize and track inventory of conference materials and promotional items.
Requirements:

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of related event management experience.
  • Be a Self-starter – not afraid to bring ideas to the table.
  • Experienced traveler and organizer with an assertive personality.
  • Accept feedback on work products for continuous improvement.
  • Takes responsibility and ownership of work. Highly reliable.
  • Be highly organized and with keen attention to detail.
  • Have excellent communication skills and strong analytical skills.
