Position: Burner Specialist
Compensation: Commensurate based on experience. Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week. First shift position, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: The most important qualifications the right individual will possess are a strong work ethic, strong leadership qualities, including excellent communication skills and a personable and positive attitude. The ability to problem-solve and acquire the knowledge needed to complete each task is essential. Attention to detail and willingness to continually learn and train is critical. This is a manufacturing environment, which means you will be expected to engage with your team consistently throughout your shift while exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures. You will also be on your feet for most of the day. The burner specialist must be flexible. Controlled change is constant and the willingness and ability to adapt is essential.

· Must pass a drug screening, physical examination and background check
Educational/Technical Requirements:
· The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED
Job Duties:
o Mechanical
o Electrical
o Pipefitting
· Perform Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS) in compliance with CQI-9.
· Perform System Accuracy Tests (SAT) in compliance with CQI-9.
· Coordinate maintenance and repair of burner systems according to maintenance schedule and TUS results.
a. Troubleshoot / tune industrial combustion systems.
b. Perform basic pipefitting skills including:
i. Disassembly of existing piping systems for cleaning/ inspection purposes.
ii. Modifying piping systems including cutting and threading to accommodate changes in equipment.
· Maintain/ coordinate various equipment calibration and inspections of Thermocouples, Data Loggers, and Test Instrumentation
· Have a thorough understanding of CQI-9 (Pyrometry Standard)
· Maintain burner component inventory.
· Work with contractors and vendors.
· Write work instructions as necessary.
· Assist with training maintenance and production personnel on burner operations, troubleshooting and tuning procedures.
· Repairing breakdowns as required with proper documentation.
· Complete Problem log sheets, Maintenance repair tags, and other required maintenance records.
· Receive and pass on information to previous and post shift personnel as required.
Interaction: Primary interaction will be with Corporate Engineer, Corporate Engineering Assistants, and Plant Maintenance Managers. Secondary interaction will be with Plant Managers, General Manager, Shift Managers, lab personnel, operators, and contractors.
