Director of In-Patient CenterWhat You Must Have
Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
Current State license as a Registered Nurse
Current State Drivers License, reliable transportation and provide ongoing valid and current auto liability insurance
Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a skilled nursing setting, inpatient care center preferred
Must be highly motivated, self-directed, flexible, and able to work well and participate in a multidisciplinary group setting
Possess good organization, people and problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task many projects and strategies simultaneously
Experience in EMR a plus
Specialized skills preferred in palliation and end-of-life
Proof of current CPR and maintain a current status

What You Will Do
Responsible for interdisciplinary involvement in the development of plans of care to meet each resident’s needs
Review patient records to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of the care provided by the unit
Communicate and coordinate with physicians, discharge planners, or appropriate facility representatives from healthcare facilities regarding resident admissions, transfers and discharges as needed
Oversight of onsite pharmacy and drug reconciliation
Oversee, direct and coordinate nursing staff; assumes responsibility for continuity, quality, and safety of service of care delivered in compliance with State and federal regulations
Promote the philosophy and administrative policies of the Agency, in an effort to ensure quality of patient care
Supervise and provide direction to nursing staff and team members, in an effort to ensure quality, compliance with Plan of Care, assessment and reassessment of patient's needs and continuity of services by appropriate health care personnel
Supports employee and patient education to enhance knowledge, skills and achieve quality experiences. Continuously trains nursing staff to retain employees with the highest quality of patient care
Provide coaching, development, feedback and annual evaluations to team members in a professional and timely manner
Monitor QA/PI Program and assures appropriate corrective measures are performed
Promote compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third party payors, through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary
Member of the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) and assist in development of the IDG plan and participates in QA/PI activities
Meet mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board
Promote and educate regarding the concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease
Use effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; facilitate the use of these skills by other team members to achieve desirable outcomes
Scheduling and/or perform on-call responsibilities and provide on-call service to patients/families as assigned
Ensure documentation of services provided is accurate and timely
Employ qualified personnel and ensure adequate staff education and evaluation, including orientation, in-service, continuing education, competency testing and performance improvement
Ensure appropriate staff supervision during all service hours and insure support services are available to staff
Manage and facilitate when needed conflict and complaint resolution
Evaluate services and staff against measured outcomes
Timely submission of all documentation
Conduct all business activities in a professional and ethical manner
Performance of other duties as required
Ensure overall compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures
