Healthy Smile is Hiring a Dental Front Desk Receptionist Near Miami, FL

We are looking for a Receptionist to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Very important is that this Receptionist / Front Desk MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE IN PPO AND HMO INSURANCES not to bill them, but to confirm them and to check eligibility and to organize schedules properly. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. You will welcome patients and greet people who visit the office. You will coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes patients positively, and executes all schedule and customer service tasks to the highest quality standards. Will work as a team with a treatment coordinator and must mantain professional and respectful relation with co-workers.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
  • Inform to supervisor about front office supplies needed and keep inventory of stock
  • Update calendars and schedule patients as instructed by supervisor.
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
  • Collect payment from patients
  • Answer phone calls. Schedule patients in a productive manner. Training for that will be provided.
  • Scan all workday papers daily. And file them in the proper software folder.

Skills

  • Familiar with Dental Softwares, preferably Eagle Soft !
  • Must have experience and knowledge with PPO and HMO insurances. Not for billing, but to schedule patients properly and to confirm insurances as well as gather insurance information specific to each patient.
  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
