GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Manager, Jerry Larson Food Basket and according to The Health Trust’s (THT) general policies and procedures, the Program Coordinator, Food Basket coordinates a variety of food management and distribution activities to ensure the smooth operation of the Food Basket. These duties include supporting daily Meals On Wheels (MOW), Medically Tailored Meals (MTM) and Food Basket operations, preparing client meals and groceries for pick-up and delivery, monitoring and ordering perishable and nonperishable food, tracking supplies, working closely with volunteers, data entry, delivering meals as needed and providing excellent service to clients of The Health Trust.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives meals from vendors, ensures count and delivery is accurate and maintains tracking/inventory control systems for both MOW and MTM.
Collaborates with MOW administration to assign routes and troubleshoot as needed.
Utilize Salesforce to carry out generalized MOW deliveries.
Oversees the process to send meal preparation sites updated meal counts, diets, dietary exceptions, route information, and other information.
Monitors outcomes of the pick-up and pack-out process to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Ensures compliance with all food safety regulations and THT standard operating procedures.
Oversees the Monthly Food Distribution at Tropicana, this includes coordinating volunteers, ensuring the efficiency and troubleshooting any technical issues.
Delivers meals as needed.
Coordinates with the MTM team to ensure specific meals (including renal meals) and groceries are accurately prepared for delivery and are tailored to the individual clients’ needs. Responsible for monitoring accuracy and making corrections as needed.
Coordinates special needs and requests with the Medically Tailored Meal team and Registered Dietician.
Coordinates and supports day-to-day client and grocery operations at the Food Basket, including site preparation, grocery distribution, and clean-up.
Prepares for grocery pick-up before distribution.
Provides information and/or volunteer opportunities to potential and existing clients, staff, volunteers, and the public.
May be required to purchase and pick supplies as assigned.
Organizes MTM monthly free grocery delivery event
Collaborate with AS Provides updated information on clients to case managers.
Evaluates office productivity and revises procedures to improve the workflow and program efficiencies for staff, volunteers and interns.
Train and onboard new staff on FB protocols, procedures, and protocols.
Maintains appropriate tracking of deliveries for reporting by accurate data entry into Salesforce database, Microsoft Office files and Google Docs.
Maintains accurate inventory of goods and services.
Processes invoices from vendors and submits for payment.
General office duties.
Maintains all HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Minimum two years administrative and/or warehouse experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products/software and Google applications
ServSafe certified with basic knowledge of safe food handling and storage preferred.
Experience in customer service

Ability to execute food and supply inventory, purchasing, and receiving procedures.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages and economic backgrounds in a culturally competent and sensitive manner.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google products
Self-motivated and demonstrated critical thinking skill
Demonstrated strong teamwork and people skills, with ability to develop productive relationships
Ability to model and communicate the mission of The Health Trust and support a culture of empowerment and team support.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Warehouse/office atmosphere.
Regular or daily lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, reaching and standing.
This is an onsite position with usual hours 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Local travel required.
Car available for daily use with valid driver’s license and automobile insurance as required by the State of California.
Employment background screening required.
