We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Director. Enterprise Project Management to join our team!
The Director, Enterprise Project Management will oversee the day-to-day monitoring, planning, and execution of approved corporate and service line strategic planning initiatives and projects.
Principle responsibilities include the management and oversite of the Project Management Office, evaluation and analysis to assess the feasibility of proposed strategic opportunities and supporting the implementation and management of timely and effective strategic outcomes. In cooperation with the Strategy Planning and Forecasting team, the Director of Strategy Planning and Enterprise Initiatives will conduct all required due diligence research and analysis on corporate and strategic planning initiatives approved for further development. In addition, the Director cultivates a deep understanding of consumers/members through analytic processes that assess needs, identify themes/barriers, solutions, and estimate demands.
The Director will manage, facilitate, and participate in company-wide workgroups in planning, implementing, and monitoring strategic projects and initiatives.
As the Director, Enterprise Project Management, your daily duties may include:
  • Develop an effective Enterprise Project Management structure.
  • Report organizational project status to the Executive Leadership team.
  • Assist in the facilitation of the strategic planning process and associated retreats with Executive Leadership that supports the vision, mission, and values of JHP.
  • Assist in the identification of strategic needs and prioritize areas of focus, specifically within service areas. Participate in the process to establish the corporate strategic plan and supporting initiatives.
  • Implement a concise and streamlined evaluation and analysis process to assess the initial feasibility of proposed strategic opportunities.
  • Conduct due diligence research and competitive analysis to support data-driven decision-making, including examination and analysis of strategic planning initiatives, how initiatives relate to stakeholders, members and impact the regulatory framework.
  • Act as a thought partner for strategic considerations in coordination with the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer and other management stakeholders. Present recommendations in response to analytic findings and identification of potential strategic or special project opportunities.
  • Play an active role in Request for Proposal (RFP) / Request for Application (RFA) review, planning, and response.
  • Facilitate company-wide committees and workgroups in the planning and implementation of strategic projects and initiatives. Attend meetings as required and participate on committees as directed.
  • Actively promote strategic priorities through inter-departmental meetings and presentations. Identify connection points and overall alignment to other projects, and clarify performance management objectives in collaboration with business partners to establish the line of sight accountability for strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate written and verbal communication between key stakeholders, leadership, and project team participants.
  • Monitor and communicate relevant healthcare news and current events. Summarize potential opportunities or risks associated with evolving industry trends.
  • Prepare strategic planning documents, reports, analyses, and presentations as directed.
  • Recruit, develop, motivate and retain high caliber team members. Coach and lead team to continuously improve operational performance.
  • Coordinate with the team to collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret market demographic and competitive data to enable fact-based decision-making, planning, and execution of strategic priorities.
  • Assist the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer in defining departmental goals and performance objectives of team members. Maintain a positive work environment that supports self-direction; provide a structure to optimize the team's experience, skill, knowledge, and capability.
  • Maintain and foster a collaborative relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Manage budget and control expenses while meeting operational, financial, and service requirements
  • Other duties as assigned:
  • Provide day-to-day management oversight of assigned PMO project managers and project plans, schedules, timelines, and associated communications.
  • Manage oversight of project deliverables, including status updates, decision logs, issues lists, risks tracking and mitigation plans, resource forecasts and financial tracking, and the overall status of execution activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Certification in Project Management or Strong Experience in leading large organizational Initiatives.Five to Ten years of work experience, preferably in healthcare delivery and managed care settings.
  • At least two plus years of experience with “agile” methodologies.
  • Experience of agile transformations an advantage (meaning first-hand experience within a primarily “waterfall” SDLC orientated organization, that transitioned to an “agile” methodology)
  • Direct work experience in evaluating, planning, managing, and executing high-visibility strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Direct experience managing staff in a large matrixed environment

  • Excellent presentation skills.
