Cirdan Health Systems and Consulting, an HMA company, is seeking a Senior Business Development Consultant. This search is being conducted on a national basis with a strong preference for this hire to be within driving distance of St. Paul, MN.
Job Summary
The Senior Business Development Consultant -Encounter Data Submissions (BD Consultant) leads the effort to sell submission services to new CMS and Medicaid Encounter Data Submission Clients. The BD Consultant has primary responsibility for identifying potential purchasers, and then creating opportunities for sales. This includes generating contacts, conducting initial presentations and demonstrations, supporting sales efforts through the contracting process, and maintaining relationships with clients from start to finish and beyond. The BD Consultant would also sell projects that would have potential to lead to future encounter data submission sales.
Work Performed and Job Requirements
Education/Training
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally with significant coursework in communication and/or sales.
Experience
A minimum of 4 years of sales experience selling technical solutions and/or services to the health industry required. Experience selling to health plan/payer market and experience working with Encounter Data Submission or risk adjustment solution sales preferred.

Computer, printer, copier, scanner, fax, telephone, web conferencing.
Working Conditions
Work will be a combination of remote, in office and travel. Work may be stressful at times. Some travel required if client/prospect preference is for in-person meetings and for attendance at conferences and events.
Physical/Mental Demands
Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, climbing, and bending to files and supplies; mobility to complete errands; stand/sit for up to eight hours each day; ability to communicate clearly when using the telephone; requires sitting; standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and twisting at times; moderate levels of stress.
