Responsibilities:

- Implement and maintain a clean and consistent Akamai environment, ensuring compliance with

best practices and industry standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design Akamai applications

and solutions that align with business needs.

- Deploy and manage Akamai delivery configurations, including creation, design, maintenance,

and activation.

- Respond to issues that may arise with the health, performance, and availability of Akamai

applications.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to Akamai applications and

components, ensuring minimal impact on end users.

- Provide technical guidance and support to end users, assisting with Akamai-CDN related

inquiries and issues.

- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and maintain documentation, including system

configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Akamai technologies, evaluating their potential

impact and recommending improvements.

- Specific responsibilities may include:

o Analysis of existing Edge Redirector cloudlet policies and Property Manager

configurations that reference them to implement new redirect rules or make changes to

existing ones.

o Ability to debug a problem, find the root cause, and then implement a consistent and

quality solution via Property Manager behaviors.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent

experience).

- Minimum 5 years experience handling all sorts of Akamai delivery configuration related issues.

- In-depth knowledge of Akamai, including but not limited to Property Manager, Cloudlets,

Certificates, DNS, Caching, China CDN, SiteShield, GTM, API/CLI, and NetStorage.

- Expertise with Linux, bash scripting, and Python

- Excellent debugging skills

- Great attention to detail

- Can work independently but not afraid to ask questions

- Learns quickly and enjoys challenges

- Experience and familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, F5

- Experience and familiarity with certificate creation and renewal

- Experience and familiarity with git/bitbucket

- Experience using Service Now and Rally for change/ticket management

- Actively collaborate with and provide awareness to Akamai security team on any issues or

concerns, which may be relevant to their team

- Stay up to date with the latest Akamai technologies and industry trends, evaluating their

potential impact on our environment and recommending improvements.
