Job Summary
The Convenience Store Manager ensures that the store’s sales, profit and customer satisfaction objectives are met. The role includes interviewing, hiring and supervising store personnel.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Train and develop Team Members.
- Engage with the store team and Guests to provide excellent Guest service.
- Operate the cashier register and gas console, accurately handle all payment types for product sold and process transactions using the POS system.
- Maintain a clean store for an inviting Guest experience, both inside and outside.
- Place weekly grocery orders and work with other vendors to make sure the store is properly stocked with current products that customers prefer.
- Remain constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
- Receive product deliveries from vendors, including moving, sorting, unloading, and stacking cases.
- Adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations including the sale of tobacco and alcohol products.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate equipment, such as cash registers, calculators or scanners
- Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds
- Knowledgeable about store’s products and services
- Ability to complete daily paperwork correctly
- Ability to stock and balance cash for ATM machine
Education and Experience
- At least three years convenient store Manager experience
- Have current Food Handlers Certification
- Have current TABC certification
- Must be able to work Saturdays
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds
- Must be able to climb stairs/ladder
- Prolonged periods of standing and working on cash register
- May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
