JOB OVERVIEW:
Provide specialized service and support to students for the purpose/s of developing the students’ ability to effectively perform courses of study in the English language, assess and encourage student progress and manage the learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Letters of application
• Recommendations and/or references
• Ability to work as a team member and previous experience with elementary age children is preferred
• Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, a valid Illinois Profesional Educator License, which includes endorsement in BILINGUAL education
• Applicants must be able to demonstrate Highly Qualified status per No Child Left Behind (NCLB)
• Past experience teaching the specific class will be considered first. If no previous teaching experience in the specific class, recent coursework or student teaching in the subject will be considered.
• The ability to speak a foreign language is preferred
