Sales& Marketing Manager – Hawksmoor Chicago

The LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse is a beautiful,designated landmark, initially opened in 1887, in the heyday of Chicago’s cablecar system. We intend to do it justice by restoring the original features totheir former glory and, at the same time, breathe new life into the space.

Reporting to the Restaurant Director, we're looking for a brand-new Sales & Marketing Manager to be based in Chicago todrive all things marketing & guest relations for Chicago.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Creating and being responsiblefor the pre-opening sales program, launch activity and after launch momentumneeded to ensure a successful launch with fully booked private dining rooms andrestaurant at launch and for months/years to come
• Promoting Hawksmoor to thediscerning diners, e.g. producing a Hawksmoor Private Dining sales pack whichwill work as a specific communications tool for all types of bookers – from theconcierge to the personal assistant and core business events booker
• Reporting weekly to the USMarketing Director on progress, systems, database, communications and KPIs.
• Creating and owning the salesdatabase with customized communications sent our regularly to these audiences
• Embedding the Hawksmoor SteakHouse brand and ethics into the dining scene, with the ambition to establishthis new steak house as a respected long-term cornerstone of Chicago culture.
• Curating regular creative andcommercial events, press tastings, private dining experiences, showcases forkey bookers/concierge and Pas to drive new footfall, reservations and PDRbookings.
• Identify and own the customerrelationships through quietly confident marketing campaigns, targetingcorporates, discerning steak diners, domestic and international tourists, mediaand Chicago food critics, families, brunchers and contemporary steak lover

• Demonstrate positive leadershipcharacteristics, which inspire team members to meet and exceed standards
• Able to work nights, weekendsand holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
• Maintains general knowledge ofrestaurant and bar concepts, location, transportation, management team, etc.
• Ability to utilize traditionalsoftware programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, andPowerPoint), Micros, ADP, and any additional systems as needed.
• Participate in community eventsand ensure corporate social responsibility goals of Hawksmoor Chicago are met.
• Maintains knowledge byattending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications,establishing personal networks, bench marking state-of-the-art practices, andparticipating in professional societies.
• Email marketing experience andbeing able to deliver at least one newsletter each month, coordinating inputfrom relevant people to a clear timetable
• A track record with events and private dining.
