The Home 2 Suites / Tru Downtown Milwaukee is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Executive Housekeeping Manager. Candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish and have prior hotel housekeeping experience.

The main responsibilities of this position include: To supervise and where appropriate carry out laundry and housekeeping duties to achieve clean and comfortable accommodations and the professional and cost-effective running of the department, in accordance with standards required by the management company and the brand.

Please note: ***The working schedule is solely based upon the needs of the hotel business, meaning that the hours worked are directly affected by the hotel’s occupancy. ***

Other Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provides leadership to the department and maintains an effective position of authority.
• Projects a professional image in all aspects of work performance, which includes but is not limited demeanor, attire, and attendance.
• Demonstrates good communication skills and helps ensure optimum communication between all shifts, departments, and management.
• Responds to any employee concerns, maintenance conditions, guest problems, breach of security, and/or emergencies in accordance to company/brand/legal requirements.
• Communicates with the General Manager consistently and on an on-going basis in terms of pertinent information regarding the department and hotel issues.
• Creates and maintains an environment to develop Team spirit among the staff that promotes quality service behaviors (i.e. listening, initiative, responsiveness, cheerfulness, accommodation, courtesy, honesty, and professionalism).
• Assigns tasks and goals, and ensures that all work responsibilities and assignments are completed satisfactorily by staff at the end of each working shift.
• Serves as primary trainer for department / on-board new team members
• Maintain labor hours and standards within the department, with proper forecasting and scheduling
• Demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the reporting employees, filling in and helping to support those employees.
