We are currently seeking to add a Development Coordinator to our fantastic team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to work with our Executive staff to manage and oversee company-wide projects. The right candidate will be responsible for Fundraising Strategy ideation and implementation, Grant Writing Management, cultivating Donor Relations with membership benefits and programs, Database Management and Reporting, Event/Campaign Planning, and participation.

The Development Coordinator is a full-time position that reports directly to the Development Manager to ensure timely processing of donations, preparation of donation acknowledgements, meet revenue goals for various fundraisers, adherence to our data maintenance policies and report generation.

Core Responsibilities:

● Fund strategy: Develop and implement fundraising strategies from researching potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities, cultivating relationships with existing and potential new donors and collaborating with the team to create compelling fundraising materials and campaigns.

● Grant Writing and Management: Identifying grant opportunities, writing grant proposals and applications, developing gift opportunities, and managing grant reporting requirements. Track matching gift requests and pledges.

● Donor Relations/Membership Programs and Benefits: Input donations, sponsorship/grant payments, and membership payments via check, credit card, EFT, and stock gifts. Maintain positive relationships with the organization's staff, board, volunteers, and donors. Ensure that all donations and payments are accurately coded within Patron Manager.

● Database Management: Promote and track membership engagement, contributions, and preferences. Generate donor reports, financial statements and fundraising performance metrics for analysis and strategic planning. Create donation reports using Salesforce and other software tools.

● Events and Campaigns: Plan and coordinate fundraising events, such as galas, auctions, and donor receptions. Coordinate and execute online fundraising campaigns, including crowdfunding initiatives and peer-to-peer fundraising efforts. Coordinate volunteers and staff to ensure successful event execution.

● Budgeting and Financial Management and Reporting and Evaluation: Track fundraising revenue and expenses, analyzing performance against targets and making adjustments as needed. Prepare regular reports on fundraising activities including donor acquisition, retention rates and campaign performance.

● Support the Director of Development with various projects

● Support external special events which may include attending meetings and fundraisers, corresponding with vendors and volunteers, etc.

● Other duties assigned by the Director of Development and President and CEO

Preferred skills and Traits Include:

● Familiarity with Salesforce and PatronManager a plus

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
