About us The Hawaii Theatre Center is a small, creative-led non-profit in heart of Honolulu. We seek a part-time hospitality lead position in our high-volume concessions department. Ideally, you'll have strong hospitality and event experience, great customer service skills, basic computer knowledge, knowledge of proper food & beverage preparation and sanitization methods, basic bar skills, good communication and organizational skills.
This position will mainly support the Assistant front-of-house manager by fulfilling talent rider request, setting up and breaking down for nightly shows and special events, and overseeing exclusive spaces for our valued members. Some bartending may be required. The position requires a Bartender Liquor Commission Card, a valid food handler’s permit, a valid driver’s license, and access to dependable transportation.
Duties Include:
- Setting up and breaking for events
- Preparing signage needs
- Food handling and display/set up
- Cash handling/processing payments
- Verifying age requirements
- Mixing traditional drinks, as well as customer cocktails. Bar maintenance
- Staying up to date on Theatre programming and events
Working Days:
- up to 4 shifts a week (shifts vary based on programming)
- Schedules are posted on a monthly basis
Attire and Requirements:
- All black attire, including long sleeve collared black shirt, and close toed shoes
- Must have a Honolulu Liquor Commission Bar Card for Hawaii Theatre Center
- Must have Food handler’s permit
- Must have own transportation
- Minimum of 1 year experience necessary
