Position Summary (Mission):

This position is responsible for the final pack and ship operation to our customers, on time and accurately. May use scanners, hand pack or work on the pack line while following pack procedures to fill orders accurately. 

 Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (Duties include but are not limited to) 

1. Follows work instructions to pull, pack and ship orders in an accurate manner.

2. Organize stock and maintain inventories.

3. Inspect goods for defects and damages.

4. Track and return inventory and materials to stock in appropriate system.

5. Maintain organization in the warehouse and perform cleaning duties.

6. Notify supervisor of problems that are not resolvable.

7. Check spools on work orders.

8. Process and package goods in a time efficient manner.

9. Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues/shortages and recommend production efficiency and quality improvements to supervisor. 

10. Immediately report incidents and accidents in work area.

11. Participate in our environment and culture that promotes safety in the workplace. 

12. Attends and contributes to department and Company meetings.

13. Participates in continuous improvement education/training programs to maintain current technology and methodology as specified by management.

14. Complete and follow training to ensure department is compliant with all applicable OSHA and TS requirements.

15. Actively learn and able to perform all positions in the department to ensure the company can meet the needs of the customer. This may include order picking, hand pack, pack line and various other positions in the department.

16. Other duties as assigned. 

Work Environment

This job operates within a plant environment subject to indoor factory conditions; heated in winter and non-air conditioned in summer.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. 

Requirements

Education, Skills & Experience Required:

2. High School diploma or GED is required.

3. Prior factory or warehouse experience is preferred. Note: other positions in the plant might require experience in metal forming, machining or operation of machines. 

4. Must be able to operate a pallet jack and fork lift.

5. Familiar with warehouse safety precautions and procedures.

6. Capable of learning and using basic skills on the computer and scanning equipment.

7. Willingness to work other shifts and overtime as needed. Position required overtime at the end of the month.

8. Fluent in English with comprehensive speaking, writing, spelling skills. 

9. Must be able to perform basic math 

10. Must be able to use basic precision measurement devices.

11. Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Physical Demands

Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds routinely and be physically capable of full range of motion as required to perform all tasks and functions as listed above.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use corrected vision, talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms – above, at and below the waist. The position rarely involves sitting. This position will include walking long distances, moving about in a work area with bending, twisting, turning and reaching along with lifting up to 75 pounds throughout the day.
