Description
Position Summary (Mission): This position offers quality support to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (Duties include but are not limited to)
1. Establish an environment and culture that promotes safety in the workplace.
2. Work on problem solving teams to improve key operating metrics.
3. Responsible for ensuring that all gages are calibrated on time and within our company established standards.
4. Responsible for product and process audits to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
5. Assist with measurement system analysis (gage R&R).
6. Assist team members on production floor when necessary. The job requires knowledge of a wide variety of tools and machines used to inspect our product.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education, Skills & Experience Required:
1. We expect all team members to exhibit our guiding principles – Respect, Dedication, Integrity, Teamwork and Positivity.
2. 1 -2 years of progressive experience in quality assurance is preferred, piston ring / engine knowledge preferred.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
5. American Society for Quality (ASQ) or college level Quality Science related course work is preferred, such as ISO 9001, Statistical Process Control, gage calibration, MSA. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
6. This is a full-time position that requires excellent attendance with occasional overtime.
