Harry Meyering Center supports people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their homes and community.Job Summary: Prepares meals according to the scheduled menu and the needs of individuals served by HMC. Responsible for HMC’s daily menu and ensuring that preparation for the upcoming meals is complete.Schedule: Typically, Tuesday/Wednesday 10 am—6 pm, Thursday/Friday 5:30 am-1:30 pm, and E/O weekend 5:30 am- 1:30 pm.Wage: $16.50 Responsibilities:

• Interact with individuals genuinely and respectfully.
• Support and/or provide for the dietary needs of individuals.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, supporting team-oriented work environments, and providing safe working environments.
• Attend and complete all required training and in-services.
• Prepare meals according to the schedule and individual(s) dietary needs.
• Pursue professional growth and development.
• Must deliver groceries and pick up supplies in all types of weather.
• Maintain HIPAA Compliance in all written or verbal communications, both external and internal to HMC.
• Follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• •Must be 18 and have a high school diploma or general education degree.
• Prior experience or training is not required but preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating with co-workers.
• Must be self-motivated and exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills.
• The candidate must have a basic knowledge of technology programs, such as Microsoft Office products. The candidate must also be able to use and/or be willing to learn technology for daily charting.
• Displays a positive attitude towards the job.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and pass a driving record check conducted by our insurance carrier unless otherwise noted.
• Be a team player who can work independently and carry out job duties as assigned.
• Must pass an MN Department of Human Services Background Study
