Introduction:

Harris Vacations, a premier manager of luxury vacation rental homes is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Operations to join our team. With an outstanding company culture rooted in "Reasonable and Respectful" relationships, we insist on maintaining these standards across all interactions with team members, partners, clients, guests, and vendors. This pivotal role will oversee our Guest Relations, Property Management, Quality Assurance Maintenance, and Cleaning/Inspection departments, ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency in all aspects of our vacation properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the operations of the Guest Relations, Property Management, Quality Assurance Maintenance, and Quality Assurance Cleaning/Inspections departments.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that enhance efficiency and improve the guest experience.
  • Oversee the management of a team of Property Managers who oversee the property portfolio and work with the property owners ensuring all properties are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Manage the Manager of the Guest Relations team to ensure outstanding customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage the Manager of the Quality Assurance teams to uphold and enhance the cleanliness and maintenance standards of all properties.
  • Analyze operational performance and use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop KPI's for the managers to work toward and a thorough scorecard program to monitor forward indicators of these KPI's.
  • Work with our CFO and COO to prepare and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of operational management experience in hospitality, property management, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to implement strategic solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and reading financial reports.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to property management and hospitality.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities.
