The Lead Abatement Information Coordinator will be responsible for active outreach and education of youth, service providers, community partners, and the public on lead hazards. This position will assist in the recruitment of lead abatement participants and the coordination of lead abatement application submittal. Under the supervision of the Lead Abatement Supervisor, individuals in this position will maintain relationships with collaborative partners and cultivate new ones. This position will also assist in developing program materials, guidelines and training. This position will develop and implement targeted population-based interventions and manage the calendar for education and outreach events and opportunities. The Lead Abatement Information Coordinator will also work with the Lead Supervisors in data management, evaluation, and reporting. This position will also be responsible for submitting a request for outreach supplies and updating the program's calendar. 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Serves as an English/Spanish interpreter for clients and staff members during home visits.
  • Assist in the completion and submittal of lead abatement applications.
  • Provides outreach and education at client's home, health fairs, schools, day care centers, clinics and other community sites in high-risk target areas.
  • Performs presentations educating public about the dangers of lead and the services provided by the Lead Abatement Programs
  • Represents the Environmental Public Health at community stakeholder meetings.

  • Monday – Friday | 8 am – 5 pm

Salary
  • Depends on Qualifications
  • Based on 26 Pay Periods
Work Environment
  • Primarily in a field environment, though some office time is necessary for the administrative tasks such as processing documents related to each lead abatement project.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stand for an extended period of time. Light lifting and bending may be required throughout the course of the assigned duties and tasks.
