Harris Computer is Hiring a Customer Support Specialist Near Georgia, GA

The Customer Support specialist provides frontline Tier 1 and occasional Tier 2 support by analyzing support issues and providing technical guidance related to using an EHR.

Key duties associated with this position are understanding the clinical / financial processes, workflows and operations of a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Application of clinical / financial knowledge and use of EHR software to assess, document, and resolve user issues. Act as liaison between the technical team and clinical end users.

Provide technical team complete documentation for support issues where patient care and safety are identified.

This position reports to the Customer Support Manager, with cross department accountability to improve effectiveness and efficiencies within existing procedures.

Primary Functions :

  • Answer telephone calls, tickets submitted through the customer portal and review customer issues concerning software, system.
  • Analyze user data to remediate software / network issues
  • Triage incoming support tickets and redirect to appropriate customer service team members for further review / triage as needed.
  • Communicate and discuss issues with Tier 2 support / Product development teams as necessary working with the Customer Support Manager.
  • Become an expert user in all Tier 1 related items in our EHR software with a goal of resolution without escalation.
  • Participate in ongoing product training to maintain product knowledge and competency.
  • Support customer service initiatives and procedures to provide excellent customer service.
  • Become an expert in our support ticketing platform that is used to document and manage customer support requests. Meet deadlines for case resolutions set by Service Level Agreements and provide feedback to the client throughout the customer support process.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on ways of improving our customer support process as necessary to optimize departmental efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
  • Assist in providing application and technical systems support, problem analysis and troubleshooting for end users using hardware and software products as assigned and applicable for documentation purposes.
  • Update logic documents received from product development team
  • Attend as needed meeting with CS, Product Development and R&D teams.

Experience / Training / Education / Certification Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred, 2 years of software / technology systems, and support, preferably in the health care environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Excellent typing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and customer emergencies while remaining calm and positive with the goal of resolution.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of PCs and MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint experience a plus).
