Harmony Senior Services is Hiring a Regional Clinical Specialist (PA Region) Near Roanoke, VA

The Corporate Clinical Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive oversight and hands on clinical services provided by HSS communities. The position includes planning, organizing, leading and directing clinical services to ensure delivery of quality, compassionate and cost-effective resident care. The Clinical Specialist will develop and maintain a care delivery model designed to meet the clinical needs of residents and implement standards and policies which ensure safe and efficient practices. The Clinical Specialist will also collaborate with Human Resources on the recruitment and selection of qualified employment candidates and will be vigilant regarding AL/MC regulatory compliance requirements in order to sustain positive outcomes with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with Senior management and external regulatory and accrediting entities to ensure all mandated services and standards are met and exceeded
  • Develop and implement policies that guide and support the provision of services; ensure that policies and procedures are compatible with the function and goals of HSS and meet the external regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Effectively assists in providing leadership and support in a community performing Health Care Director duties as directed
  • Integrates clinical services mission with HSS organizational goals and ensures delivery of optimal quality health care services to residents.
  • Provides effective communications with community managers' as well as their staff.
  • Provides extensive orientation for all new staff and assist in hiring HCD. Provides continuous supervision/ training of professional staff followed by review of procedures to ensure quality of care is being provided to all patients/ families serviced by HSS and determine retention/ compliance of professional staff.
  • Collaborates with RDO to identify clinical and operational inefficiencies within a community; prioritize goals of a community; and ensure effective management and follow-through of QA process for clinical services in the field
  • Oversees supervision of clinical staff compliance with infection control, personal protection equipment, and blood borne pathogens, and hazardous material handling.
  • Ensures HIPAA compliance with resident and employee information.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Current RN/LPN license in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Must obtain a nursing license in every state that HSS operates
  • Exceptional ability to manage people, multi-task, delegate, and motivate a team
  • Broad and extensive experience in clinical nursing administration; minimum 5 years' experience.
  • Solid ability to interact and build relationships with older adults and their families
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles and practices, and can apply those principles as part of the senior management team
  • Experience with current and emerging delivery systems with capability of implementing changes as needed.
  • Must be able to travel to HSS communities frequently, including multiple overnight stays
  • Must be CPR certified
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and push up to 25lbs
